Skin Boosters
What is a skin booster?
In simple terms, it’s essentially a more diluted hyaluronic acid that the dermal fillers that get injected into the face for sculpting and contouring. Due to it’s low viscosity it holds less risk and is delivered to the skin by a series of tiny injections. Although the injection points are also chosen by the client; if you wish for a large area of your face the injections can be spread out, or you can target specific areas like cheeks, around mouth/eyes.
Skin boosters increase the water content of the skin, this is due to hyaluronic acid being water attracting. This hydrates the skin, in turn making it look brighter. Skin boosters also have a bio-remodelling effect, which means they improve your skin from the inside out. The hyaluronic acid is slowly absorbed by the skin and in turn your skin works harder to produce more collagen and elastin. Conclusively, a skin booster will make you look fresher and brighter, with smoother skin.
How often and how long does it last?
Most boosters are designed to be carried out in a package of 2 or 3 sessions. The full improvement can take around 4 weeks, and the results of a skin booster should last up to 6 months. After that time you can repeat the process or just continually ‘top up’ your skin with individual treatments at 3-6 month intervals.
Profhilo
Profhilo is a type of injectable skin treatment that is used to address skin aging, particularly for those with skin laxity. Unlike traditional dermal fillers, which add volume to specific areas of the face, Profhilo works by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin in the skin, resulting in a smoother, plumper appearance. The treatment consists of a series of injections into specific points on the face, and typically requires two sessions spread four weeks apart. Results can last up to six months. However, it is always advisable to consult with a qualified medical professional to determine if this treatment is suitable for you.
Longevity does vary between individuals, but results are expected to be gained over a period of 4-6 weeks and last for approximately 6 months. If you choose not to maintain the results with further treatment, your skin will return to its pre-treatment state over time.
Areas of treatment include: Face, Neck, Hands, & Decolletage
